These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set the conditions for using LifeScene (the “App”). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
The App helps you organize and revisit your memories as Scenes, based on photos and videos stored in your device’s photo library.
The App is not a photo or video storage service. It displays media by referring to items already stored in your photo library.
You agree to use the App in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws and regulations.
You are solely responsible for obtaining and managing the device, operating system, network connection, Apple ID, and any other environment required to use the App.
The App consults your photo library to create Scenes, display photos and videos, and detect memory candidates.
If you delete photos or videos from the photo library, or change photo access permissions, the related media may no longer appear in the App.
Please back up and protect important photos and videos under your own responsibility.
Titles, date ranges, tags, and identifiers for photos or videos created in the App are generally stored on the device.
This data may be lost if you delete the App, if the device fails or is lost, if the OS or environment changes, or for other reasons.
The App does not guarantee permanent preservation of this data.
The App can automatically detect periods that may correspond to memories, based on information in the photo library.
Detection results are mechanical suggestions based on photo and video information. They do not guarantee accurate detection of every memory, or that detected periods and content match your intent.
You can review the results, then save and edit them as Scenes.
When using the App, you must not:
Features, content, and specifications of the App may be changed, added, or discontinued without notice for improvement, maintenance, or other reasons.
Changes to devices, OS, or environment may also make some or all features unavailable.
We strive for stable operation and appropriate features, but we do not guarantee that the App will always work correctly, that it will work on every device and OS, or that it will meet any particular purpose of yours.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of or inability to use the App. This limitation does not apply in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by the App provider, or where liability cannot be limited by law.
How user information is handled in the App is governed by the separately published LifeScene Privacy Policy.
These Terms may be changed when App features or offerings change, to comply with laws and regulations, or as otherwise needed. Updated Terms apply from the time they are posted on this page or communicated by another appropriate means.
